They say that no great story ever started with someone eating a burger… OR did it?
This story does. A whirlwind of collaboration and hours of work later, we are all drooling – mission accomplished.
Within the past year, I have been so fortunate to meet and work with the talented creative Leah Visser who was my creative assistant/stylist on this project. Working together is always an exciting and creative atmosphere and our latest project will leave you hungry needless to say! Picture synchronized swimming, on the set of a photo shoot, and you’ve got the creative brain waves between Leah and I! Creatively working in-sync is just one of the strengths that we play to as a team but best of all, it’s about telling a story, conveying a feeling or bringing an atmosphere to life through stunning photos.
This story is about a warm, traditional and lively Irish pub in downtown Wolfville. Paddy’s Pub serves as a family owned restaurant, Irish pub and craft brewery who encompasses the experience of a traditional Irish pub with a flair for unique, local dishes. In-house made sausages, craft brews and local ingredients are all assets to the experience, but nothing compares to the passionate staff and head chef that we had the pleasure of working with! No camera trickery or lighting was used – no ‘fake’ props – just great food cooked on site at the restaurant and shot using natural light by a window within minutes of being prepared. Together our creative trio between myself, Leah and Doug produced so many exciting photos that were then passed into the hands of our own acclaimed graphic designer Bonnie Ross of Ross Graphic. (Fun fact: did you know that Bonnie has designed several Canadian Mint coins right in downtown Kentville?!). Bonnie has framed the photos in a beautiful new menu that you need to get your hands on!
